Lviv - The Last Destination of 2019

In December 2019 I made a journey to Lviv, Ukraine. This city is located in western part of the country and 800 000 people live there.

Lviv is a wonderful and cheap destination. You can book a nice hotel room with its own bathroom in the city centre for under 25 USD. My first dinner was 80 UAH ( 3,27 USD ) including soup, main course and glass of juice.

Ukraian cuisine is fantastic. When you are here, try borsh soup, vareniky or shashlik.

Here are some sights you should not miss in Lviv. This city has really a lot to offer:

Market square is surrounding Lviv's Town Hall. During the sightseeing have a cup of coffee at one of Lviv's cafés. There are more than one hundred churches in the city. The oldest one, the Armenian Cathedral was founded in the 1360s located on Virmenska Street, it's one of Lviv's most enchanting streets. The Baroque Dominican Church east of Market Square is worth visiting also.Last but not least is the High Castle. When you reach the top at 413 metres , you can observe the entire city.

To conclude: Ukraine became one of my top 3 favorite countries in Europe and I can not wait to come back soon.
