In November I had an opportunity to spend one day in Wroclaw, Poland.
This university city located by the Oder river has a population of roughly 650 000 people and belongs to one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland. Wroclaw reminds me of Scandinavian cities like Stockholm or Copenhagen by its architecture. Here are some places you should not miss:Take a stroll around Ostrów Tumski, surrounded by the Oder river. It is the oldest part of the city dating back to the 10th century, from which the rest of it has been developed. Another sight is The Royal Palace built in baroque style, now houses the Historical Museum of Wrocław. Hustling and bustling both day and night, Rynek, medieval market square located in the very heart of Wrocław. One of the main landmarks of Wroclaw The Old Town Hall, built in 13th century, stands at the center of the city's Market Square. Wroclaw Christmas Markets are open here from half of November to the last day of December. They are regarded to one of the most beautiful christmas markets in Europe.
